I just heard the news: 'My Thermonuclear Family' is a quarterfinalist in the Fade In Awards.
This is the best possible birthday present that the cosmos could have sent my way.

Doug Karr has worked in the film industry since 1997 creating original independent films. Karr's most recent project, the explosive black comedy, "Anniversary Present," stars David Alpay (Ararat) and Liane Balaban (New Waterford Girl). Karr’s 2003 mental health caper "The Straitjacket Lottery" (commissioned by CBC National and Bravo! Channel) screened at over 25 festivals and won multiple awards. Karr’s other credits include the award winning experimental documentary "LSD25," and the hour long documentary "Lifecycles: a story of AIDS in Malawi".

Congratulations on your success! I think you need to go buy dougkarr.com (you can buy it with dotster.com, it's available) - I've not purchased it because I have douglaskarr.com.
I'm also changing my naming convention to douglas karr rather than doug karr so that if folks look you or me up, they'll easily see the difference.
This may sound really geeky but with your success and my online presence, I want to be sure you get the notoriety that you deserve!
